((Ok Soul, you're on!)) ___She liked to think of herself as a supportive and caring sibling to Serowa; when the pack had ousted the taboo twosome and their pups, she'd made it a point to put family first and stand by their side. But with mating season approaching and fae talking about pups again, it was a little more than Kaedae cared to handle. She'd hoped that leaving their old territory, finding a new place with new beginnings, might shake some sense into her poor, confused siblings. Surely with other wolves around, they'd disperse and find proper mates. Not so, unfortunately, and the female now found herself conflicted between her values committment to family, and her concern about Wriko and Serowa taking familial love a little too far. ___Surely there was no sin in taking a respite from pack duties to explore the land outside the territory a bit. For a long while she'd clung to their small boundaries religiously, given the traumatic events that occured last time she'd found herself prone to wandering. Still, she'd inherited her father's wanderlust, and one could only spend so much time in a day politely looking the other way. Thus she currently traveled along the crest of a rocky ridge overhanging a fast-running glacial creek that was trickling down - sluggish this time of the year - from the mountains. It's berylline waters smelled fresh and crisp; this was one of her favorite things about the pack's new location. ___Presently, the female paused, settling her haunches on the cool surface of a glacial erratic that jutted out over the water, a scraggly lodgepole pine to her back. She wrapped her dark brush of a tail over her pale gray feet and stared out calmly at the tree tops, wondering - though she'd never dare admit it - how she might enjoy life as a lone wolf.

__Deiso sighed, eyes flicking over the plain area sprawled before him, searching for signs of prey, food that would last him the next few days. The wind wouldnt help much, it was blowing in the direction he had come, carrying no scent of meat other then himself. Hours passed and he was starting to consider returning, the sun had reached the middle of the sky, maybe prey would have moved across his tracks by now.. Worse, the wind had changed direction and was now against him, carrying no scent of prey, only... Deiso's eyes narrowed slightly.. Wolves. __He had been away from them for so long, and he checked here so often it was almost asif he owned this area, and he had never found wolves in this small place, so close to home. Maybe he had always just been out of luck, or maybe they were indeed new. If so, Deiso wanted to make sure this was clear-- This area is his, and anyone who tries to catch his prey has alot of trouble coming their way. __After another few minutes, Deiso started through the trees at a young, but still mature, wolf sitting beside a river. She was beautiful.. His mind wandered for a few seconds, before he snapped back to reality. She must have heard him by now, so he didn't have much to hide. He stepped around the tree silently, so close to her it was impossible to not be seen by now, but somehow she didn't, or she wasn't showing it. To make his presence know, if it wasn't already, he tapped a claw on a small stone by his right fore-paw, then spoke quietly. _"Well, what do we have here? A young beautiful wolf? In my territory? I trust you have not been here long, or I would have seen or smelt you before today.. What's your name?" __Deiso sat behind her, blocking out any immediate exit that doesn't involve swimming, which he knew she wouldn't do if she was in her right mind. But then again, who in their right mind would allow someone like him to sneak up on them? He shook the thought out of his head as he started at her coldly awaiting her reply, patience growing thin already, just like the snow was growing thick with every day.. Gradually... Surely...

((Just be careful about how much you assume another player's actions, such as noticing/not noticing, as it borders on a power play )) ___Perhaps she had let her guard down, having smelled no territorial markings neither today nor when her pack had scouted for an ideal territory. Perhaps it was not having seen other wolves in the month that they had dwelled here. Whatever the reason, Kaedae was not observing her surroundings as astutely as she ought to have been. Sure, the gurgle of the creek drowned out the quiet footfalls of the approaching male, and with the wind against her face, any scents approaching from behind were being blown in the wrong direction for a good whiff. ___Excuses, excuses she thought as she went rigid with tension upon realizing there was another wolf present - one blocking her best route of escape, no less. She disliked the way that this stranger-wolf had positioned himself; it immediately suggested that he was interested in conflict, deliberately creating a situation that would make her tense and defensive. With her siblings back at the den, preparing for pups, she could not afford to suffer injuries that would reduce her role as hunter. Kaedae damned herself for not having noticed the male sooner, for having chosen a perch so foolish for her meditations. Taking a steady breath, she braced for the worst while plotting ways to avoid an unneccesary conflict. ___The female's movements were slow and careful; sudden motions might give a suggestion of aggression. She rose to her feet cautiously, posture neutral, tail lowered but not tucked, and turned to face the male who had addressed her. One ear twitched back in irritation when he said the word territory; there were no proper scent marks on these lands, and by scent he was a loner long detached from any pack relations. What right did some interloper have claiming land as his own, and confronting a pack wolf for that matter. Still, she was outside of her pack's territory - alone, stupidly - so she would need to play her cards carefully. Thus, she opted to ignore the male's bold and inappropriate behavior. ___"These lands are yours?" she lowered her ears, feigned apologetic. "My sincerest apologies; I have no interest in wasting either of our energies on a fight with winter ahead of us - I will be on my way if you'll permit it." She did not, however, move towards the male until she could gauge his reaction. Then, as an afterthought, for his words had included a question, "Oh, and I am Kaedae. How are you called?"

I'll keep that in mind lol.. Atleast it wasnt anything worse, right? [like her actual reaction, I hate people that do that sometimes] Also, not my best but atleast it isn't my worst lol
__Deiso almost smiled at her behaviour. It was always a blast to see how wolves, females in particular, reacted to the sudden presence of a wolf, especially one as hostile as him. He tilted his head alittle and spoke quietly to her, incase there indeed were other wolves closer then he thought. _"Well, I guess you can call them mine, though I do not have a pack to claim it for myself. My name is Deiso, Kaedae, and I might as well let you go, but you won't go alone. I want to know where your pack is. I don't particularly like being too close to another pack, whether I can sniff them out or not" __He stepped aside and motioned with his eyes that she could pass, though he couldn't be certain that she would take him where he wanted, as he had no clue to where they were going, though he hoped she would cheat him, so he could deal with her as he pleased. However sinful his intentions may be, he couldn't help but think to himself. ____Is this what I've become?
