Ziira looked up at Gabriel, then over at Dennis, then down slightly to Toki, noticing her ears.
I wonder what she is thinking about...
Ziira said to herself in her head, losing track of where they were. After a few moments, she stumbled, almost tripping, but regaining her balance.
I hope no one noticed..

The walk back to the den was long, particularly with the puppies stumbling over roots, leaves, and themselves. Dennis was impatient to leave, her ears flat and tail tuckled, eyes narrowed as she stared at the land ahead of her. Gabriel glanced at her, frowning, but said nothing; he simply nudged a puppy from time to time when it stumbled, and kept his gaze on the den.
Sabbath met them before that. The female could smell the unfamiliar puppies and had prepared in advance: eating. Just in case she brought a chunk of real meat, and was relieved when she did -- the two puppies walking looked old enough to handle it, though the tiny creature in Dennis's mouth certainly was too week to do so.
She wagged her tail and bobbed her head at her brother, who loped up to her and brushed cheeks with her, then licked quickly at her muzzle.
"Thank you."
Sabbath nodded, then placed the meat on the ground just in time for her to turn and vomit up some of the meat. Dennis's ears flattened and she backed up, nose wrinkling. Yes, she was definitely never having puppies. At Sabbath's pointed look, though, she obediently placed Toki on the ground, body sagging low.
"They're Ziira, Soul, and Toki. Say they were abandoned."
Sabbath nodded at Gabriel's words and smiled at the puppies, ears perked and tail wagging.
"Eat as much as you want."
She certainly didn't want it; she had a feeling she may vomit again. Stepping back to give the puppies space, Sabbath laid down on the ground in an attempt to ease her stomach. Maybe this would get easier with time. Gabriel, meanwhile, focused his eyes on Dennis, who made a point of avoiding his gaze.
"Thank you. Sabbath will take care of them."
Dennis nodded, contemplating her actions. She could leave, but Gabriel had not given her permission too, and never did; instead he sat down near Sabbath and watched the puppies. With a sigh, Dennis moved to Sabbath's other side and lied down, head on her forepaws.
Edit -- ((Forgot to note that this will likely be my last post of the night. See you all later))

ooc: ok since I've been asked I'll post now.. only a short one but eh it'll work I guess
Ziira looked at the puke and almost puked herself, unable to believe she would have ever approached it, let alone eaten it. She walks over to the chunk of meat that Sabbath had dropped for her and her brother, then dragged it a little distance from the puke, sticking her paw on it, and pulling off a small chunk with her jaws, almost swallowing it whole on accident. Soul, however, didn't take a small chunk, he took as much as he could fit in his jaws and more. Ziira frowned, he had alwasy been a pig of a wolf, she was surprised he wasn't a fat one.

OOC:Okey the writer's block is not clearing up so This may suck.
Toki made a face at no one in particular. She walked up to the vomit and looked down at it for a minute. She then realized she very much hated the way nature worked. She leaned over and ate a few bites. It was pretty nasty, not as bad as she'd thought but the thought of eating something that someone had already eaten made her feel as if she would add to the pile of vomit. The sooner I get older, the better Toki thought. She looked up at Sabbath "thank you miss Sabbath." She said with a thankful smile. And she meant it too.
OOC:Yuk, that was a disguisting topic

OoC: Disgusting or otherwise, that's what they do to feed their young. Dennis agrees with you guys, though, heh. And your guys' posts are both looking nice. Keep it up! Sabbath and Gabriel exchanged glances at the puppies' reaction to the food. It was what young puppies ate, after all; to see the young puppy herself looking a bit squeamish immediately made them wonder if she was younger than she looked, and perhaps had not yet been weaned. However, the puppy then walked over and ate it, though her disgust was evident. Huh. Maybe she was older than she seemed? But then she would have ignored it entirely, no? Sabbath finally shrugged slightly in her brother's direction. They may never know. Dennis, on the other hand, understood the puppies' reactions, and was shocked to know she shared something with them. The wolf snorted softly and, ears lowered, looked askance at Gabriel. The alpha wasn't surprised; Dennis hated pack gatherings, and apparently puppies, and everything at this rate. Quietly he walked over to her, though he cast his eyes briefly in Sabbath's direction to make sure she had everything under control. At his sister's nod, he nudged Dennis' shoulder and then padded away. Dennis, with a soft growl and ears back, reluctantly followed. With those two out of the way, Sabbath smiled at Toki. "You are very welcome. Toki, right?" At seeing Soul grab a bit more than his share, she growled lowly, tail high as she stared at him. "Share with your sister. I'm sure she's hungry too." It was all she said to the older puppies, though, instead focusing on Toki. A puppy this young would have died if she was abandoned for long, making her suspicious. "You must be starving. How did you end up all alone?" She knew from scent that while Soul and Ziira were related, Toki was a total stranger. Odd indeed, enough to make her question the small puppy first, then the other two, to figure out what had happened and whether two packs would be raging down on them for "stealing" puppies.

Toki looked up at Sabbath with a look of surpirise (though she wasn't very surpried.) "umm....uhhh..well, I'd rather not talk about it. I don't remember much about why anyway." This wasn't a total lie, at the time, Toki had been so scared of meanest wolf alive biting down on her scruff and heading towards the woods that she blacked out for a while. All she really remembered was that wolf fighting against her mother to protect Toki. That's when she blacked out and woke up in the forest.

Sabbath's ears twitched back at the puppy's answer. Frankly, had the puppy said she didn't remember first, Sabbath would have believed her. But the fact that she stuttered and then said she didn't want to talk about it let the beta know that the puppy knew something. It just, unsurprisingly, was too painful for her to speak of. Still, no matter how traumatic it may be, Sabbath needed to know what had happened. Or if the pack would be looking for her, anyway.
"Toki, I understand it isn't easy, but I need to know what happened. What if your pack or mother comes looking for you? I won't look like a very nice wolf to them when I am sitting here feeding one of their puppies."
She kept her voice as gentle as possible; if she scared the puppy, she would hardly get an answer. Besides, Sabbath didn't make a habit out of traumatizing wolves who had already had a rough time as it was. Tail waving slightly, she sat down, ears perked and patient, and ignoring the feeling that time was slipping away and two packs may be heading their way...

Toki sighed and said "I doubt they'll be looking for me. Our alpha was not the nicest wolf on the planet. He was sure that I would be out of the pack, even if that meant to throw me into the forest so I could die." The sound of herself saying this to another wolf made a tear roll down her face. Toki sniffled and said "I don't understand much of it... that's all I can say." Toki laid on the ground and buried her face in her paws.
Edit-OOC: I am too dumb and lazy to think right now... don't expect me or toki to know why mr.alpha threw toki in the forest to die. (Btw I am not always this dumb and lazy)

Sabbath frowned at the puppy's story, ears back. She understood what had happening relatively clearly; Toki's parents were no doubt subordinates, or perhaps a former alpha female, and the alpha male had killed off the puppies. The bizarre part, however, was that Toki had somehow survived this treatment, rather than being killed outright. A rather incompetent male, then.
It didn't matter, she supposed. She now knew the chances of at least one pack going after them was small, and so she nudged the puppy with her nose gently, giving her a small lick in-between the ears. "I am sorry. You are safe here. Just try to rest and eat."
Another gentle nudge, and then Sabbath turned her attention on the other puppies. They were a bit old to be victims of attempted infanticide, unless their alpha male was new and held nasty grudges. That or was exceedingly incompetent. Sabbath snorted softly, then tilted her head and howled for Denegrad. At least one wolf puppy was officially theirs, so it was best to call the omega sooner than later.
After a pause, Sabbath walked over to Ziira and Soul, neither who had responded to her growl. Interesting. Tail high and ears forward, she stood a few feet from the puppies, eyes focused on them.
"And you? What happened?"

Soul looked up after a few seconds, but was unable to speak with the meat still either half chewed in his mouth or half way down his throat, leaving Ziira to answer, like always
"We got lost and couldn't find our pack"
Ziira answered calmly, though alittle too calmly, almost giving away the fact that she was lying. Her ears almost flat against her head and her tail still, she turned away and thought to herself
Is she good at telling the truth from lies? Would it even be smarter to tell her the truth?
Those and several other questions filled her mind as she looked back to Sabbath, trying to hide the guilt of lying to someone who likely wouldn't lie to them

Toki picked her head up from her paws, she sniffed and wiped her tears from her cheeks. Toki looked at her new friends and smiled. She felt relived to know that she was safe, safe from that mean wolf, safe from being lost, and she felt secure witth these wolves.
