Does anyone else think it would perk up activity if there were more characters out of lib threads? I know I have quite a few characters I’d willingly post with, but they’re all tied up in the Front. I’m particularly interested in the lions: if we were to get a pride together, wouldn’t the options for dominant male be antisocial, hybrid, crazy, or crazier?
Also, zebras. Are we good to go with that? Because I’m willing to make the first post.
While I definitely don’t want to be in as many active threads here as I am at GF and Tower, I think one or two would be manageable.

Oo, that sounds interesting! I would definitely do a lion. Probably a female. P:

Since we don’t RP together nearly enough, that’d be great; actually, if I could remove just my lions from the circus thread and pretend they were never there (would that be kosher, RW?), we could start up a pride between the two of us.

I would like to pose this: The Front as a seperate entity in time (which sounds a lot more eloquent than "Magic time warp??" which was my immediate thought). By this I mean, you can play characters just there, just at habitat boards, or both simultaneously, because there is no need for continuity in time between the two. You can start there and be liberated as origionally intended to develop character before RPing, forfeit the experience entirely, or work on your character's history & past experiences by playing them in the front at your leisure while RPing them actively on the habitat boards. The one issue I see is if someone really wants to build a character pre-lib but the other player is just working on history as they play. Perhaps to avoid that if we take it this direction, we should make it a point to discuss anything at The Front before getting involved in the threads, both to group people in the appropriate category of how they want to play those characters, and to permit "skipping turns" if the thread has a mix of both types.
You like this idea? If opinions are mixed I'll set up a "petition to admin" sort of thread.

That sounds like the perfect solution to me.

Cool beans. We'll see what ze others have to say, and if it sticks, it'll go in the rules. And I'll put a sticky in The Front as well.

That sounds like a good idea. At least I think I understood that. You mean playing out a chara's history on a separate board while playing out the present with the same chara on another board right?

Nicole, correct. We'd basically be assuming that the general game play boards exist in the same present time frame, but The Front board is separate entity that could represent the current or past reality of a character. So you could still play your character first then on the main boards like originally intended, but with this edit to the rules, you could also play The Front as the past and the gaming boards as the present simultaneously.

Sweet, so I can pull my pre-lib characters into the main board right now, and flood the land with quirky goodness?

Oh oh, also.
Can I reply to some of the lonesome one-post threads out there, or are those spoken for? Basically, is there anywhere that I shouldn't throw in a random character?

Chuck characters at whatever you'd like of my threads. I believe very little is spoken for.
