Name: Stilzer Species: Common Rhea Gender: Male Age: 8 years Brief Personality Synopsis: An apathetic and desultory creature, Stilzer has coped with a life of overcrowding by losing interest in other birds. Even in the most extreme situations, he doesn’t respond normally; it isn’t uncommon for Stilzer to plunk down and frantically dust bathe in the face of aggression rather than responding in kind. History of Liberation: Abandoned by a local farmer’s husband who grew resentful of his wife’s focus on milking her business for money (and the proportional lack of activity in other areas of her life) and thought he’d get back at his ‘rival’ by disposing of his wife’s most treasured breeding rhea. Unable to kill the animal for squeamishness, he decided to dump it, and thought the preserve a perfect place to carry out the crime.
