Carrying this over from the other board. Is everyone still on board for this?

Ok. So after reading Out of Eden, Tinkering with Eden, and doing some research online, I have confirmed that feral emu exist pretty sucessfully in the United States, in areas as cold as Michigan, Minnesota, and New York. And I'm sorry, but anything that can survive Michigan winters can totally survive winters in the praries out west. So... Emus have been added to acceptable feral species for Feral Civilization! Whoohoo!
I allready have four Emu I want to join. One is a male who is insecure and self-conscious but has a very kind heart and great leadership potential bubbling beneath the surface. I'm thinking his personality can really come out when he needs to take command of the situation and protect his friends/family in the wild. Another is an elderly wild-caught female with plenty of knowledge of the outdoors and a very placid, resigned, "fate will take me where it will" sort of nature. The second, younger female is a motherly but easily alarmed, pessimistic, and phobic creature. And her son, also the male's son, is a sub-adult with a spunky, bold, adventurous temperament that makes his parents very nervous.
I'm thinking they'll escape an Emu farm after some time on the farm when a winter storm collapses the barn. Some Emus are killed and hurt, and they're trapped inside, but the male finds a way to break out of the crumbling building and brings anyone with him he can. However, the farmer is killed in the cave-in, so now they're on their own fending for themselves. I reckon they'll hang around the farm until food supply runs out or maybe the authorities finally come and try to round them up, then they'll be living feral in the countryside. I'll be extra challenging since this is winter, and emus need a TON of fresh, running water to survive.
So.... anyone else wanna play chicks/males/females? They're a REALLY cool species, and even though they aren't monogamous in the wild, they're one of those "it could go either way" species, since they often choose steady mates in captivity. They're gregarious without having a super-structured social rank, and the males do all of the parental care.
Face it. You're tempted.

Omfg yes.
I want in. o.o
I was gonna have an emu in Liberated, so I'd love the chance to play one here now.
