Attention Members!
I regretfully inform you that my declining personal health and increasingly busy schedule essentially puts me on "haitus" untill further notice. Animatus is a site that I love dearly and have participated in for years, but at some point one has to examine their priorities and decides what stays, and what goes. Presently my life affords none of the free time required for hours of RPing, which with my number of characters and involvement in plots is essentially what Animatus has come to require of me. I may at some point over the next month or so massacre my character lists and plot participation and become active again with very few characters. Or I may remain inactive until further notice. Users are encouraged to continue playing and forming plots, and are welcomed to leave any threads I am in if you feel you would do better to RP with someone more devotedly active. Until we meet again!

I just thought of a random idea - a bunch of little birds banding together to form a great big flock. I read the Underplayed Charries post and then the Singles Bar and it came to me as I was thinking of Sing'a'dadee. So..what do ya say? It would be a good way to promote use of some of the less common species on GF...

Sounds like a possible idea. I wonder what would convince them all to band together? We do have human presence in GF now. Perhaps they can join forces to sneak food from the national park visitors during the hard winter? Or alternately, to keep a lookout against humans, because I just read a great article recently about how birds are all paranoid about birdwatchers, apparently.

But the steal food from people = brilliance, though to watch out for birdwatchers seems more natural.

Haha, clearly you've never been to NY. When I was a kiddo I had a group of pigeons swarm me and steal my entire meal. Granted GF's birds would be a bit shyer, but I reckon they'd still happily look to sneak snacks if they were starving in winter.
Or here's an idea: both. First they try to dodge the bird watchers, but then maybe one of them accidentally drops a granola bar or something and they realize the people have food. Then, who's watching who now? hehe.

Violent pigeons o.o

One time a bird stole a french fry from under my nose. But that's basically it. XD. Oh yeah and at the zoo a peacock attacked me then a pigeon pooped on me. ;__;

I have to look up if I even have any small birds. I feel like I should. Not knowing my own characters ftw!

How did I miss this before? It’ll be awesome to have more birds around. Since I just got my hands on a collection of Audubon’s prints, you can bet I’ll soon have plenty of characters to contribute to this plot
